Greek Holiday Savory Cheeza
Greek Holiday has a base of Feta and Mediterranean cheeses, herbs, spices, peppers, black olives and capers. This has a bright, slightly tart flavor that is lovely with all crackers, raw vegetables, hummus and all things Greek.
This unique Mediterranean cheese is endorsed by Zorba the Greek, well not really but I’m sure he would approve. My good friend from Greece told me that the flavor was a like what his mother made in the old country. Oophaa!

It has a tart, bright flavor that is lovely with crackers, pita chips, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms. This works for vegetarian wraps or in a half avocado for a low carb high protein meal. This is great on grilled or baked fish, lox, steamed spinach, asparagus and rice.
My favorite party innovation is “Greek Nacho” which is Greek Holiday on pita chips layered with hummus, marinated cucumbers, artichokes and chopped red peppers. (See recipe)
My relationship with Greek cuisine deepen on a honeymoon trip to the Greece Isles alone. Long predictable story, the relationship ended but I took the trip anyway, sans man. Now that, was a great decision. In visiting five Isles, there were never any Mama Mia dance numbers, but, I was healed by the colors of the ocean and wonderful hospitality around the Greek dinner tables. Greek Holiday Cheese Spread is my tribute to the saying, “Taste and see that life is good!”
